Treasures of Egypt

July 7, 2023 by Rob Craig

I am thrilled to announce that after a hiatus of several years, Craig Travel is returning to one of the world’s truly great ancient civilizations. From February 22 to March 8, we will embark on a fascinating exploration through Egypt, one of the most archaeologically-rich nations in the world. For thousands of years Egypt has dominated the world in historical findings and even today exciting new discoveries are being made. To witness these, as they have been unearthed, is truly an awe-inspiring and magical experience.

With long stays of six or seven nights, packing and unpacking will be kept at a minimum. Starting with a first class seven-night river cruise on the legendary Nile River, the heart of Egypt, including all sightseeing. Back on land we shall stay in Cairo at the comfortable Ramses Hilton Hotel, located on the banks of the River Nile, with all sightseeing included. How perfect is that?!

It is difficult to name only one or two highlights when each day presents one incredible historic discovery after another. Imagine standing before the great pyramids of Giza; marvel at the vast array of artifacts and antiquities from ancient Egypt in Cairo’s famous museum, including the sarcophagi of the ancient Kings. Admire the spectacular Karnak Temple; explore the Valley of the Kings and visit the tombs; experience Abu Simbel, the massive temple built by the greatest of the pharaohs, Ramesses II. Discover medieval treasures in old Cairo and enjoy the fun and excitement of Cairo’s famous Khan Khalili Bazaar. These are just a few of the many delights to experience on this journey. I invite you to peruse the complete details on our website and see for yourself what an incredible journey we have created.
