President's Pick: Newfoundland & Labrador

June 2, 2023 by Rob Craig

One of the prettiest regions in Canada is surely Newfoundland and Labrador. To be living in a country where such stunning landscapes abound, where history is preserved so well and where the people are among the most welcoming, certainly are reasons to be proud Canadians. They are also reasons to visit now.

Without a doubt, one of our most popular annual travel experiences is Newfoundland and Labrador, this year taking place August 2 – 13. As in past years, our very popular Newfoundland guide is Bill Brophy, a true Newfoundlander with a fierce love for this special part of Canada and a sense of humour unique to Newfoundlanders.

Our pleasantly paced journey allows the opportunity to fully enjoy each experience along the way. World heritage sites like Gros Morne National Park and L'Anse aux Meadows, home of Leif the Lucky and the Vikings introduces an important time in Canada’s history. The capital city of St. John’s is the oldest city in Canada. Its unique attractions include the iconic Cabot Tower and the big attraction in the downtown core are the colourful houses of ‘Jelly Bean Row’ and the friendly vibe.

Visits to the quaint fishing villages of Twillingate, Trinity and Bonavista showcase the spectacular coastal scenery, some of the most beautiful in all of Canada. At Witless Bay Ecological Reserve, whale watching for humpback, minke and fin whales and viewing the thousands of puffins and other nesting seabirds is truly nature at its finest.

If this is your year to immerse yourself in this precious, cultural part of Canada, reserve your space soon. Space is limited. Newfoundland and Labrador are special and you don’t want to miss this summer’s chance to experience it all!

Happy Travels!
