MS Fridtjof Nansen, Hurtigruten's latest expedition ship, embodies cutting-edge technology with a revolutionary hybrid battery-powered propulsion system. Combining 125 years of expertise with premium comfort, its Scandinavian-inspired interior features natural materials like granite, oak, birch, and wool, creating stylish cabins and public spaces. All cabins are outside-facing, half with private balconies, while some suites boast private outdoor hot tubs.
At the heart of the ship lies the Nansen Science Center, serving as both an educational hub and Expedition Team headquarters. Three restaurants offer diverse dining experiences rooted in Norwegian and Nordic traditions alongside international influences.
Guests can unwind in the Explorer lounge, gym, or Wellness Center, or enjoy panoramic views from indoor/outdoor observation decks featuring an aft infinity pool and hot tubs.
Enhancing the onboard experience, each expedition is guided by a specialized Expedition Team, ensuring safety, sustainability, and a deeper understanding of the destinations explored. Custom-built expedition gear includes kayaks, Blueye underwater drones, and RIBs for safe landings in remote areas.
