Boston, New England’s largest city, is home to both historic and modern neighbourhoods. Visitors can explore American Revolution sites along the Freedom Trail, such as the Paul Revere House, as well as the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. Each neighbourhood, from the North End’s Little Italy to Beacon Hill and Harvard Square, offers unique attractions. The city’s waterfront provides harbour views and boat tours, while the Emerald Necklace, a chain of nine linked parks, offers green spaces for relaxation. This quintessential coastal New England town boasts historic homes and shops. Known as the "Lobster Capital of the World," it’s a mecca for foodies with a taste for fresh, local seafood. Art lovers will want to visit the Farnsworth Art Museum and Wyeth Center, which features paintings from three generations of the Wyeth family, as well as sculptures by Louise Nevelson. Revisit maritime history at the Maine Lighthouse Museum, located on Rockland’s waterfront.

Halifax, Nova Scotia's provincial capital, is known for its maritime history, including bunkers, fortresses, and nautical museums. Charlottetown is the capital of Canada’s smallest province, Prince Edward Island, and its largest city, though it has fewer than 35,000 residents. It is most famous as the Birthplace of Confederation, where an 1864 conference at Province House led to the formation of Canada.  Sites within downtown include Victoria Row and other historic buildings, some of which are now museums. Nearby Prince Edward Island     National Park is home to white-sand beaches and hiking and biking trails - plus fans of Anne of Green Gables can also see the house and farm that inspired the story. Québec City, one of North America's oldest settlements, is a living museum of French colonial history with its intact fortifications and UNESCO-listed historic district. Despite changing hands to British control in 1759, the city remains a stronghold of French culture, with over 95% of its population speaking French as their first language. Visitors can explore centuries of history through landmarks like Place-Royale and the Plains of Abraham, while enjoying the city's distinctive Québécois cuisine and welcoming atmosphere.
