Born in Sault Ste Marie, David has lived in Calgary, Toronto, Sydney (Australia) and a number of other cities around the world. David began his lifelong relationship with travel while still in high school, working first with Canada Steamship Lines and then with Horizon Holidays, as a tour escort. While not travelling across Canada, David spent four years at the University of Toronto in an effort to become an engineer before going on to York University to take an MBA.
