The ground may be white in Canada, but it’s green in Ireland….emerald green. As Canadians, the thought of lush green fields, wonderful coastlines, quaint villages and warm, inviting local pubs is certainly a pleasant thought. Anticipating a journey to this enchanting destination is one terrific way to get you through the icy cold winter.

We are all devastated by the scale and impact of the bushfires currently impacting Australia. All around the world people stand in solidarity with Australians in the midst of the heartbreaking fires spreading across vast parts of the country. This tragedy has resulted in the loss of human life, caused destruction and damage to homes and bushland, and has inflicted immeasurable harm to wildlife, including critically endangered native species. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those affected by this tragedy.

Where there's a will, there's a way! This is one general, but powerful statement. After helping cruise lines reduce their consumption of single-use plastic onboard their ships, the Association of Arctic Expedition Cruise Operators proves that all it takes is a little effort from everyone in order to make things move. As a matter of fact, after surveying its members in 2018, the results show that almost all respondents have taken actions to reduce the consumption of single-use plastic.
