Post date: Author:

What is your position at Craig Travel and what is your length of employment at Craig Travel?
Tour Specialist, 16 wonderful years as of the end of 2019.

Have you held any other positions within the company?
No, just my current title Tour Specialist although the job has evolved over time, and will continue to do so as technology changes and new ways of travelling are explored.  Civilian space travel anyone?

What destinations are your areas of expertise?
Ireland, South Africa, Israel, Australia & New Zealand, Costa Rica, and Oberammergau.
I've been fortunate enough to visit Oberammergau and experience The Passion Play in 1984 in celebration of the 350th anniversary of the first performance, then again in 2000.  I am excited about my upcoming return to see this fascinating performance on Craig Travel's Heart of Germany journey featuring the Passion Play in Oberammergu  July 18, 2020  If you would like to join me call today to reserve your place as space if fillinq quickly. Trust me on this, you won't want to miss it!

How long have you been involved in the travel industry and in what capacities?
Almost 34 1/2 years! My positions have been Administrative Assistant, Sales Specialist, Operations Manager, and Tour Specialist.  With lots of learning, growing, and fun experiences along the way.

Tell us what your favourite two destinations are and why?
Australia, because of the friendly people and the different animals. Australia is home to so many different and unique animals and birds which fascinates me.  Some that come to mind are the kangaroo, koala, echidna, dingo, platypus and wallaby.  South Africa for the same reasons, where travellers from all over the world come in search of the Big Five - lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant and Cape buffalo.

Craig Travel’s mission is to provide all-inclusive, first class, group travel to the mature market. What is it that attracted you to this type of travel company?
As I became a consultant, I was glad it was specialized, as it enabled me to be more focused on customer service.  Getting to know and staying in touch with Craig travellers throughout the years has been an ongoing pleasure.  We are lucky to have some very well-travelled people on our journeys!

What destinations are still on your bucket list?
Ecuador and the amazing Galapagos islands, and of course East Africa to see the wildlife, plus ancient and wonderful Jordan.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Speaking with Craig Travellers and hearing stories of how they enjoyed their travel experiences.  This part is so rewarding.  So many very special stories about those travels have been shared this year during Craig Travels 50th anniversary celebration.  50 years of celebrating travel experiences can be found here - enjoy!
