Gilda, how long have you been working with us and have you held any other positions?
Prior to working in the Operations Department, I worked in the Sales Department. I have been employed at Craig Travel since 1998!
What destination do you consider your areas of expertise?
These would be Asia, Europe and the United States. But I would have to say that having worked in-depth in both the Sales and Operations side of the business, I have extensive knowledge on many international destinations.
What other experience do you have in the travel industry?
Prior to Craig Travel, I worked for travel wholesalers and a tourist board.
Tell us what about a couple of your favourite destinations and why?
Japan, as it is my home country and Hawaii. I love the Hawaiian culture, the sun and the sea!
Craig Travel’s mission is to provide all-inclusive, first class, group travel to the mature market. What is it that attracted you to this type of travel company, as opposed to a company that does not specialize?
I have always been impressed with the extent of the finest care that we provide to our clients.
What are some of the destinations on your bucket list?
Iceland, Costa Rica, Peru, Antarctic and many more…
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
I love to help solve clients’ problems when they are in an emergency situation and to know that I have been able to ease their way and gave them some peace of mind.
What other things might our readers be interested in learning about you?
I believe very strongly that travel not only expands your knowledge of foreign lands, it provides you an opportunity to act as an ambassador of your own nation. Travel allows us to exchange cultural experiences and to make friends all over the world.
