This month, I have several exceptional journeys to tell you about, opportunities that should not be missed if it is unique adventures that you crave. After the last couple of years, I expect we all crave adventure!

First is Morocco, located in North Africa, just a short ferry-ride from Spain. While the world has changed, Morocco retains the secrets and charm of a bygone era. It’s the chaotic excitement of the souks, the aroma of the spice bazaars, the vast expanse of the deserts and the rugged peaks of the Atlas Mountains that retain their truly exotic flavour.

This fall, October 16 – 31, we are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity to immerse travellers in the culture, traditions, heritage, colour, scents and experiences that make Morocco such a magical experience.

Only a few spaces remain on this year’s tour. Here’s why. There is a sense of fascination exploring the great Imperial cities – Rabat, Fez, Meknes and Marrakech, once named as the world’s number one tourist destination by Trip Advisor. Venture over the Atlas Mountains to the very edge of the massive Sahara Desert; explore the wonderful bazaars (or souks), each of which is a chaotic wonderland of shopping and living experiences, offering more than simple glimpses of the local lifestyles.

On the edge of the Sahara, you will spend a night in a deluxe tented camp, surrounded by stunning sand dunes, a luxurious nomad experience! Relax while enjoying dinner under the desert sky, listening to the haunting sounds of traditional music while gazing at millions of stars over the desert sands, or perhaps enjoy a camel ride at sunset.

Accommodations throughout the program have been carefully selected to offer the most comfortable, interesting and atmospheric locations. In Rabat, revel in the delightful La Tour Hassan Palace, a tribute to the splendor of Moor architecture, which combines ornaments of elegance, ambiance and majestic uniqueness. In Fez, enjoy a two-night stay at a delightful riad, a former great house that has been converted into an exceptional boutique hotel, the Riad Dar Bensouda. In Ouarzazate, the stunning Berber Palace, an oasis at the gates of the desert, is our home for one beautifully memorable night. Elsewhere, we have selected a variety of quality properties to ensure a truly rewarding experience. Do not miss this unique adventure! Reserve your space by May 31 and save $200 per person. Immerse yourself and enjoy it all!

Speaking of exceptional journeys, Capturing Namibia and the Okavanga Delta June 3 – 22, 2023 is a photographer’s dream. This fully inclusive, first class, small group adventure will be led by award-winning photographer Jon Gurr who is looking forward to sharing his skill and knowledge throughout the tour.

There are so many highlights on our discovery of this remote, beautiful land…the mountains, desert and sea; meeting Bushmen in the Kalahari Desert; the vast sand seas and dunes of the Namib Desert; the lonely coasts from Walvis Bay up to the desolate Skeleton Coast; some of the finest game viewing in all of Africa at Etosha National Park; the small but diverse Mahango Game Reserve; excellent game viewing in Chobe National Park; three nights in the Okavango Delta at an exclusive fly-in permanent tented camp and so much more! Namibia is special and those who experience it are the lucky few. Reserve your coveted space on this trip of a lifetime by August 31st and save $500 per person!

Lastly, a reminder that if you are considering a tour of Ireland or Scotland in 2022, now is the time to submit your reservation. Thankfully, travel plans are up and running, space is filling and our UK tours are no exception. Scotland’s Highlands and Isles, August 1 – 15, has only five spaces remaining; the Best of Ireland (North and South) August and September departures have some space as does the September Yorkshire and the Lake District, but it won’t last long. Time is running out (May 31) to take advantage of the $200 Early Booking Bonus on these tours, so call today!
