Post date: Author:

While we are celebrating our special Valentine's Day at home this year, just remember that Valentine's Day is another day to show the people around you that you love them and to show yourself some love as well.

Here are 5 ways to celebrate in the spirit of love this Valentine's Day, a time to treasure the supportive relationships in your life and the people who uplift your spirit. Be them a friend, pet, parent or significant other, it's all about love!

Stroll Through Nature to Relieve Stress

Take a hike with a loved one or friend and celebrate your love of nature together! It's so powerful for our heath, our moods and keeps our mind sharper, helping us keep calm and happy.  While you are connecting in nature, you will appreciate the natural settings, such as birds, trees, plants and many other things.

Interested in taking an adventurous hike once borders open?  We've got you covered!  Our Hiking Through Tuscany Journey offers a chance to hike through the beautiful terrain of the Apennines in the North, over the rolling hills in the center, to the vast plains and sandy beaches of the Mediterranean islands in the south.

Get Your Bake On!

Bake something sweet - you'll have a sweet reward with your significant other. Delicious homemade scones - make them up for afternoon tea, or as a snack while you are watching TV or a movie. Or Cinnamon Buns, nothing makes the house smell as good as freshly baked cinnamon buns.  It's not difficult, it may be time-consuming, but they are well worth the effort as a weekend surprise.

Here are some deeeelicious recipe ideas for you to explore.

Cinnamon Buns A sweet treat on a sweet day. These are a perfect surprise for that special someone. If you are not able to see your loved one this Valentine's Day, consider ordering the ingredients to their home and sending them the recipe to try out in their home!

Stuffed Crepes Mascarpone-stuffed crepes with Ontario sour cherries. We filled homemade crepes with indulgent mascarpone cheese and topped them with Montmorency fruit spread for a show-stopping dessert or brunch dish. We can make some at home and drop it to our friends and/or loved one even if we are not able to meet.

Devon Cream Meringue Green pistachios and shaved dark chocolate create on artistic looking dessert when sprinkled over the white canvas of meringues nests, custard and whipped cream. In this high technology century, we may set up a virtual baking party with our special ones, and we can talk while baking; that would be a lot of fun.

The Timeless Classic Love Letter

Write love letters to each other - tell them which of their qualities you most admire. When times are tough...you look at the wall of your house, you see this uplifting letter stuck on your wall, that reminds you to be strong and also reminds you of the person who will always stick around.

Have a look at these fascinating famous love letters written throughout history. Writers and receivers of the letters include Ludwig van Beethoven, Oscar Wilde, and Elizabeth Taylor...

Get Your Popcorn and Snacks Ready!

Relax with a movie marathon - giving yourself permission to watch as many as possible, enjoy a lazy day on the sofa. Romancing the Stone, it's the '80s, and the era of the action movies. This took that concept and blew it out of the water, mixing in pinches of Indiana Jones and pulpy romance novels.

Most Romantic Valentine's Day Movies  There are few better ways to spend Cupid's holiday than with a romantic movie: single or in a relationship, pro or anti-Valentine's Day, there is a film for you.
