This fall is a wonderful time to jump into your return to travel. Why? The rush of summer vacation travellers is over; the oppressive heat of summer is subsiding as more comfortable autumn days return, plus we have several fall departures which are being offered as “small group experiences.” This is a distinct advantage and one that does not happen often. In addition, you need an exciting vacation! Why not take advantage?

At long last, the Canadian government has announced that as of June 20, it is suspending vaccination requirements for domestic and outbound travel on planes and trains, a positive step reflecting an improving public health situation in Canada. Following a successful vaccination campaign, 32 million eligible Canadians have been vaccinated against COVID-19. Cruise ship passengers and crew still require vaccination and the wearing of masks in enclosed and crowded spaces.

Good news on many travel fronts this month as the world sets in motion a safe transition to long-awaited normalcy. Stating that the health and safety of Canadians is the top priority, Transport Canada announced that Canada is open to cruise ships once again PLUS the American CDC has removed all advisories against cruising. This is excellent news for those wishing to travel close to home.
