It is difficult to describe the dramatic and unique landscape of Iceland without resorting to clichés: this is the land of gushing geysers, rumbling volcanoes and creeping glaciers. The small volcanic island of Heimaey in the remote Westman archipelago is your first Icelandic port of call and it is then on to the island’s cosmopolitan capital, Reykjavik. From here you will visit the dramatic landscapes of Thingvellir National Park. Then sail to the port of Isafjordur on the edge of the Arctic Circle and on to Akureyri with its magnificent green pastures, waterfalls and whale-filled bays. Finally, enjoy a
call at Húsavík, a charming harbour surrounded by snowcovered mountains. It is full of colourful houses and home to the geothermal Mývatn Nature Baths. On this trip we shall also visit Scottish castles, Viking settlements in the Faroe Islands and the remote Orkney and Shetland Islands.

Our 11,560 ton cruise ship is large enough to provide all the important cruise ship amenities but small enough to be intimate and personal, carrying just 378 guests in modern comfort. Enjoy the onboard services that include 2 restaurants (single seating for all meals), 3 lounges, a large lecture hall/theatre, a library, an internet centre and a medical centre. Relax on the ample deck space, in the observation lounge or enjoy the gym, sauna, spa, Jacuzzi and outdoor pool. Staterooms in Cat. G through M average 130 - 150sq ft. while staterooms in Cat. F and above are 200 sq. ft. or larger and have extra concierge amenities. All staterooms have twin beds (Cat. G and above are convertible to queen size beds). The ship does not have a casino and evening entertainment is relatively casual (no grand Vegas shows). Enrichment lectures will be a cruise feature with experts from a  variety of fields.
