We are very pleased to offer this exciting fall foliage cruise on the Hudson River, a wonderful itinerary unveiling an area rich in both history and stunning natural beauty. The cities and towns along the river date back to Dutch and English rule and feature some of the most magnificent architecture in America. We begin our journey in New York, the city that doesn’t sleep and home to Broadway theatres, world-famous museums, iconic department stores, and Radio City Music Hall. Departing this bustling metropolitan area, we begin our seven night discovery of the idyllic Hudson River region with options along the way for expert guides to lead us through grand and historic sites including the Vanderbilt Mansion, the home of Franklin D Roosevelt, and the Olana State Historic Site, home to one of the most influential Hudson River School Painters, Frederic Church. West Point Military Academy offers a walk through the hallowed grounds traversed by some of the nation’s greatest generals, and the riverside town of Sleepy Hollow inspires legendary stories, made famous by the great America writer Washington Irving. Cruise the legendary Hudson River aboard the newest addition to American Cruise Lines fleet of small cruise ships, the American Constitution, designed with elegance in mind. The atmosphere feels intimate on board, but offers some of the largest staterooms in the industry, spacious lounges, as well as observations decks and private balconies with spectacular views of the passing landscapes. We will end our journey back in the Big Apple where we transfer to the airport or if preferred, join an optional excursion to experience all that this vibrant city has to offer. Enjoy a performance at the Metropolitan Opera House, view exhibits at the Museum of Modern Art, or simply explore New York City, freestyle!
