East Africa September 2021

3.5 Challenging
While we will be staying in superior lodges and hotels throughout this journey, members should be aware that travel in Africa is often over very rough dusty roads, in small 4x4 vehicles with difficult access. Members will require immunization against yellow fever and should take precautions against malaria. The itinerary may be affected by local conditions and late adjustments may be required. All members must be in good physical condition to fully enjoy this adventure.

The lands of East Africa are often described as the world’s best destination for game viewing, being home to the world’s most extensive national parks and game reserves, including Sweetwaters, the Maasai Mara and the Serengeti. Here we will find the Great Migration, the last major migratory herds of wildebeest and zebra that travel between the Maasai Mara and the Serengeti each year. This journey provides ample time in the Mara at a time when we hope to find the largest herds in the pristine wilderness. With wide open plains, spectacular mountains, incredible vistas and so much more, it’s no wonder that visitors return home suggesting the magnificent beauty of this region is simply unforgettable! Bird watchers will be fascinated by the highest concentration of bird varieties in the world. Each day we will find new and exciting vistas spreading before us. Delight in the rolling grasslands of the Maasai Mara and the Serengeti Plains, the rugged peaks of Mount Kenya and Mt. Kilimanjaro, the unique landscapes of the Ngorongoro Crater, and the bush lands with their endless varieties of game and bird life. Membership will be limited on this exciting adventure, therefore we urge you to enroll early in order to avoid disappointment.
