Tour members from across Canada fly overnight to Africa.

We arrive mid day in Windhoek, Namibia’s capital and largest city. On arrival we will be met by our guide and be transferred to our hotel. Namibia’s capital is a small but bustling city, set in an airy basin in the central highlands. Our resort hotel is surrounded by a golf course, spacious gardens and an outdoor swimming pool. Enjoy an extensive buffet dinner at our hotel.
Windhoek Country Club (1 night)

We depart the capital this morning and head south. On our way we make a stop at the Heroes Acre, a memorial to fallen soldiers. We arrive at our lodge for lunch and time to rest before we enjoy a sundowner safari by 4x4 vehicles.
Intu Afrika Kalahari Reserve (Zebra Lodge) (1 night)

After an early morning walk into the desert with a Bushman tracker, who will introduce us to some of their ways, we return to the lodge for breakfast. Travel across Southern Namibia; a vast, arid region with landscapes ranging from the desolate Namib in the west to the rolling Kalahari dunes in the east. Stop for lunch and a performance from a group of local school children. Arriving in Sesriem we can see the beginnings of the vast sand sea of the Namib Desert, where the dunes rise skyward a thousand feet and the sands of Sossusvlei stretch westward over 50km to the sea. We spend the next two nights at our exceptional half-tented lodge.
Soussusvlei Lodge (2 nights)

After an early breakfast we depart the lodge in 4x4 vehicles through the inhospitable terrain of the dune sea along a gravel road bounded by spectacular sand dunes. Witness the color transformation of the dunes as the sun rises. Enjoy the vlei, a greyish-white clay that is virtually surrounded by towering orange sand dunes that we can attempt to scale. We return to the hotel via the Sesriem Canyon where the Tsauchab River has exposed millions of years of geological history.

Travel via the Kuiseb Canyon, a wild landscape crisscrossed by a maze of dry river beds, to the coast, where the desert meets the ocean. Visit Swakopmund with its distinctive German colonial atmosphere. Discover the living desert on a tour through the coastal dunes. Capture the intricate details of this environment with some macrophotography.
The Hansa Hotel (2 nights)

A short scenic drive will bring us to Walvis Bay this morning, lying on a sheltered lagoon and hemmed in by the Atlantic Ocean and the golden-yellow dunes of the Namib. Depart from the waterfront on a marine cruise skimming the harbour and lagoon to Pelican Point. Possible sightings include dolphins, seals, whales, sunfish and an abundance of birdlife. Disembark onto the Lighthouse Jetty and boarding 4x4 vehicles we enjoy a beach and dune adventure to Sandwich Harbour with a picnic lunch in the dunes. Tonight we enjoy a seafood dinner overlooking the sea at Resto Jetty 105.  

Early today we depart along a section of the Skeleton Coast, a strip of treacherous foggy coast that has claimed many ships to its graveyard. Heading inland, we travel through the Erongo region characterized by colourful volcanic landscapes, ancient rock art and strange geological phenomena. Our lodge in nestled in the shadow of an interesting geological formation known as the Vingerklip. Enjoy a guided walk before settling in and getting a good nights rest.
Vingerklip Lodge (1 nights) 

The best game viewing in Namibia is to be found in Etosha National Park in northern Namibia. Etosha means ‘the great white place of dry water’. The Etosha Pan is a vast depression where water gathers and evaporates, leaving salty plains that attract such game as zebra, springbok, blue wildebeests, and their predators. Here the large game abounds and the sky is ablaze with birds. We will be arriving at the start of the dry season when animals gather around waterholes, making spotting wildlife easy. En-route to our accommodation we will stop for photo opportunities and wildlife.
Etosha Taleni Village (1 night) 

Our day will be spent driving through the park, stopping at rest camps and enjoying the wildlife en route. Our destination is our lodge, which features comfortable rooms, two pools, a spa, tennis, games room and more.
Mokuti Game Lodge (2 nights)

Today enjoy an early morning game drive in specially designed 4x4 open vehicles into Etosha in search of game. During the heat of the day, we will have leisure time at the lodge to enjoy the amenities and attend one of our group leaders talks on photography to expand your skills. Late this afternoon we shall once again venture into the park, again in 4X4 safari vehicles, in search of both wildlife and birdlife.    

Today we exit the arid lands of Etosha and make our way to the lush wetlands of the Caprivi Strip. Located between Angola to the north and Botswana in the south our lodge is situated on the edge of the Okavango River. Excellent game viewing on land or by boat are right at our doorstep. Enjoy an aperitif at sunset over looking the river.
Divava Okavango Lodge (2 nights)

Enjoy breakfast by the banks of the Okavango before we  embark on a boat cruise to Popa Falls, not far down river. During the heat of the day relax at our lodge, enjoy the amenities, and another photography chat with our group leader. This afternoon we take an open vehicle safari in the Mahango game Reserve.    

Say farewell to Nambia as we cross into Botswana. After border formalities we meet our safari guides and vehicles and make our way through Chobe National Park enjoying the wildlife on the way. This evening, if time permits, we will have a sunset cruise.
Chobe Game Lodge (2 nights)  

Enjoy a full day in the park with morning and afternoon excursions in open land rovers and by boat to view the game that frequent the fertile flood plains of the Zambesi. A highlight of our stay will be the visit by boat to the natural hippo pool, a short distance from the lodge.   

After one last early morning safari we prepare for the true highlight of this journey. A short bush flight brings us into the interior of the Okavango Delta and the Moremi Game Reserve. Our all inclusive remote camp is located on the edge of the Xakanaxa Lagoon, with easy access to game viewing by land, water or even from your room or the bar.  Over the next few days we will enjoy tracking big game during morning and evening safari drives, and boat excursions to discover bustling river life. Although night drives and off-roading are not permitted through the Moremi, the camp’s premier setting ensures you are always part of the natural wilderness. A boat excursion is a particularly unique, Delta experience. Glide through tall grasses, blooming water lilies and bump into an elephant herd seeking a refreshing splash. Besides many elephants, lion herds, leopards and hippos, this area is known for a vast number of antelope, including Impala, Kudu and Waterbuck. Camp Moremi (3 nights)

After one last chance for an early morning safari, we enjoy breakfast and pack our bags to return home. We make our way south to Johannesburg for a quick overnight before continuing to Canada.
