Reserve Early! Here's why...

Post date: Author:

Our new “Experience Our World” brochure is hot off the presses. You will find product for the balance of 2017 and for well into 2018. I hope you will discover your next great travel adventure in its pages.

In it, there is something new from Craig Travel – a wonderful opportunity to save money by booking early. Beginning with departures in 2018, we are providing a special Early Booking Bonus for all land journeys and river cruises. Booking by the early booking deadline indicated on the website, not only assures that you will be confirmed on your chosen trip, but it will also save you $200 per person off our very attractive all-inclusive pricing. Ocean cruises will have their own Early Booking Bonus opportunities with similar and often greater savings available.

Early booking on river cruises has always been vital, due to the small size of the riverboats and the very limited inventory in each category on board. Riverboats fill very quickly and quite often are sold out 6 to 8 months prior to departure. Cabins allocated for single occupancy are even more limited and demand for those cabins is always high. Now is the time to plan for river cruising in 2018.

By popular request, we are limiting group sizes on land tours. In many destinations, groups will range 18 to 28 members and seldom will we have more than 36 on a departure. Singles are even more limited, sometimes being limited to just 2 or 3 per group.

Ocean Cruises are finding very strong demand in virtually every sector of the marketplace. “Wave Season” this year has seen the strongest demand of the last three decades, with higher occupancy guaranteed for the balance of this year and even into 2018. It is quite likely that we have seen the end of any oversupply of beds on the high seas.

At the same time, demand for travel from around the globe is growing far faster than the supply of suitable infrastructure (transportation and accommodations). For the first time in history, the number of air passengers from Asia and India exceeds the number from North America and Europe. What does this mean for us? Simply put, we must plan and book early.
