We are pleased to have Most Rev. Martin Currie, Roman Catholic Archbishop of St. John’s, leading this important tour of remembrance. Having worked and lived in both Peru and Israel he has had many opportunities to travel in the regions, experiencing the history and culture through the great structures, waterways, and people. His travels have taken him to most countries in South America, Egypt, Israel, Greece, Turkey, China and the Philippines. Martin joined the Priesthood in 1968 and since has served parishes around the world. In October 2007 Pope Benedict XVI named him as Archbishop of St. John’s, Newfoundland Labrador a position he has held ever since. We look forward to having him lead this wonderful tour.

David, who is currently the Dean of Divinity at Trinity College in the University of Toronto, is a well known speaker and authority on Christian history in Britain and Ireland. We are most pleased to have the Archdeacon Gerald Peddle escorting this journey. While Gerry is now retired, he was most recently the National Director of the Pastoral Outreach Program, providing care to Veterans. He previously served in Canada's military for 28 years until he retired as the Chaplain General in 1999. During that time he traveled extensively in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and throughout North America. Since retiring, he has been escorting groups for us to a variety of worldwide destinations. We are sure his background and love of travel will ensure a rewarding experience for all who join him on this fascinating journey.
Well known to many of our past guests, John Pollard has escorted numerous tours and cruises on our behalf, to such diverse destinations as China, the South Pacific, Alaska, Africa, the United Kingdom and Europe. A graduate of the University of Toronto, John retired after thirty-three years of teaching, to pursue his love of travel. His enjoyment of people and his great interest in travel together with his extensive experience in escorting groups to a wide variety of worldwide destinations, are sue to enhance this delightful journey.
We are pleased to have Rev. Brian and Karen Galligan escorting this journey. Currently Interim Minister at Grace Church, Milton, Ontario, Brian is originally from the United Kingdom and has travelled extensively throughout Europe, North America and the Middle East where he also lived for several years. Karen is Canadian-born and a retired teacher who also has a great appetite for travel having visited Europe, the Middle East and Australasia. Brian has escorted a number of tours for us to the Holy Land. He and Karen are looking forward to sharing this exciting journey with you.
Rev. David Tin was born in Hong Kong and educated in Canada. He was a former Aerospace Engineer, Clinical Engineer and Health Science Manager. Ordained in 1992, he serves the Lutheran church locally as well as various communities nationally. He and his family love to travel, and especially enjoy walking through history and experiencing new cultures. Since 1998, David has been travelling extensively in Europe on his own and as a group facilitator. He is looking forward to sharing this journey with all that will join him.
