Elaine Young has just recently retired from employment with the government after 25 years. She is now looking forward to sharing her love of travel and meeting new people with all those who join her. She has always had an interest in learning about new cultures and the history of various countries. Her past travels have taken her throughout Panama, Columbia, Honduras, Roatan, Venezuela, and Cuba. She is looking forward to new experiences and helping to make the trips she will lead ones of a lifetime.
Gary Gamble is the long time Morning Show host of Jewel 88.5 and the popular "Gary and Sara in the morning". Gary has been waking up GTA and area audiences for over 20 years with great music, information, the Jewel Joke of the day, contests and a lot of fun. He has interviewed and introduced some of the biggest stars in music including Neil Diamond, Barry Manilow, Amy Sky, Michael Buble and many, many more. For over 30 years, Jon and his wife Susan have been travelling the world and capturing photographic images of their destinations. Some of Jon's photographs are displayed in the National Archives, numerous publications, as well as in his studio /gallery in Muskoka. Over the years they have traveled in Britain, Europe, Africa, Asia, South America and most recently in South India. Jon plans to share his skills and love of travel on this adventure.
We are most pleased to have the Rev. Jim Cairney, the lead minister of Christ Church United, Mississauga, to act as spiritual leader and escort for this journey. Jim has visited the Holyland and Palestine three times including a three month sabbatical in the West Bank as part of the Ecumenical Accompaniment Program (World Council of Churches). An author and journalist, he was full time Religious Writer for the Hamilton Spectator (1985- 1988) and authored Along The Emmaus Road, Walking With The Risen Christ (1994). He is knowledgeable about the geopolitical realities of modern Israel as well the theological history.
Jennifer Kempa lived in India and the UK, before making Canada her home in 1992. She has held various roles at Craig Travel since 2005, including General Manager for twelve years, and is currently Senior Management Advisor. She has travelled extensively and some of her adventures have taken her to Australia, Kenya, through much of Europe, North America, including the Rocky Mountaineer and Alaska. She has toured Cuba extensively with her husband Andrew as well as having escorted trips to Ukraine, Adriatic and Bermuda, India, South Africa and most recently Costa Rica. Privately they have travelled to India, New Zealand and Australia and recently experienced 2 Star Clipper cruises around the Windward Islands and Cuba as well as a Mediterranean cruise with Crystal Cruises.
John Goulding was born and educated in Newfoundland. In 1970 he entered The Salvation Army’s College for Officer’s Training and was commissioned/ordained as an Officer in 1972. During his 32 years with the Salvation Army he served as Corps Officer and Public Relations/Development Director and worked in Ontario, Newfoundland and Alberta. He and his wife Donna have two lovely daughters. After retiring in 2003 John worked at the Calgary Prostate Cancer institute before joining World Vision Canada where he eventually becoming Senior Development Advisor for Western Canada. There he was able to travel to several countries in Africa – Uganda, Rwanda, Zambia, Mozambique, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Ghana, and Ethiopia. On many of these trips, John lead groups of donors or staff to visit the various field projects that World Vision Canada was investing in. In 2012 John and Donna once again joined the Salvation Army in active duty to become the pastors to the Calgary Glenmore Temple Church. In July 2012, John was appointed as the Divisional Secretary for Public Relations and Development for the Newfoundland and Labrador Division.

A long-time member of the Craig Travel staff, Gilda is the Operations Manager. Born in Hong Kong, she began travelling in Asia at the age of four. Having lived in Hong Kong, Japan and Hawaii, she has made her home in Toronto for the past twenty years, and has worked with the Hong Kong Tourist Board and tour operators specializing in the Asia. Over the years she has led a number of groups to China, South East Asia and Europe.
Kim is no stranger to travel; with experience as both a group escort and a North American tour guide she has travelled extensively. An energetic leader, Kim retired after 33 years of planning, coordinating, managing, and directing committees, conferences and charities to pursue her love of travel. Kim has led groups all across Canada and the USA as well as to Vietnam and India. Overturning every rock, her personal explorations have taken her to Southeast Asia, a dozen European countries and much of Central America. She has travelled by plane, train, automobile, elephant, ostrich, camel and tuk tuk and is looking forward to sharing her next adventure with you.
